Top 10 List- August 30, 2019

This week I wanted to recommend some things that I use regularly along with some of my favorite reads or things to listen to at the moment. I also couldn’t help but throw on Taylor Swift’s new album, Lover, which I’ve had on constant repeat since it came out last Friday. Have a great weekend people!

I started using this facial peel back in June when Versed first launched at Target and have noticed a huge difference. My skin always looks better after I use it and it is gentle enough to use every day if I want. I normally use it at night on clean skin without any moisturizer on top.

I have been a longtime reader of The Skimm morning newsletter and was very excited when they launched their Skimm This daily podcast highlighting the day’s news this past Spring. You can find it wherever you listen to podcasts at 5PM EDT Mondays through Fridays.

Earlier this year I discovered Branch Basics cleaning concentrate and have loved the product ever since. You can use the concentrate for cleaning just about anything including laundry, dishes, windows, your entire bathroom, and pretty much anything else in your home. I didn’t realize how much fragrances were causing some of my headaches until I started cleaning with their fragrance-free product. The Sweet Laurel Cookbook is perfect for those looking for healthier dessert options or those with dietary restrictions. I received a copy for Christmas this past year and it has quickly become a favorite for baking. They also have a store in Los Angeles so if you ever find yourself in town, go check it out.

I have always loved having a planner since I am crazy about organizing every second of my life. So when I started grad school, I knew this one from Rifle Paper Co was exactly what I wanted. On top of being pretty to look at, I love the layout of both monthly and weekly options and the stickers. If my current one didn’t go until January, I would definitely be picking this one up for the new school year.

If you haven’t listened to Taylor Swift’s new album yet, what are you waiting for? My favorites on the album are Lover, Paper Rings, and London Boy.

Whenever I get bored with my workouts, the first place I go to is YouTube. One of my favorite channels is POPSUGAR Fitness. They have hundreds of workouts of all different types and different lengths. One of my personal favorites is this quick CorePower Yoga workouts for whenever I need more of a stretch.

I’ve been using the Qapital app to help me save money for years. You can create rules like a weekly deposit to help save up to your financial goals. I like that the app works with fitness trackers to help you save every time you workout or whenever you shop at a guilty pleasure store. It makes saving less of a headache and you’ll be surprised by how much each little amount adds up.

I have been noticing more and more how much social media affects my thinking and how much time it takes up when I am mindlessly scrolling throughout the day. While completely cutting myself off doesn’t seem feasible, I think that trying to do one day a week, like this article from The Everygirl, is a good place to start.

Last week I posted my Peanut Butter and Fig Parfait that is one of my favorite breakfasts right now, so when I saw this Fall Fig Sangria from Sugar and Cloth, I quickly pinned it for later. I’m thinking this weekend will be the perfect time to try it out.
